Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is pretty simple; we believe in you. We want you to be the best version of yourself and we can join you on that journey.

We have a practical approach to understanding the psychology of where you are and where you'd like to go. Our focus is on using psychology and neuropsychology frameworks to help you develop the skills and habits to respond flexibly to whatever life deals you.

Whether you are adjusting to life as a new parent, making work or other life transitions, making sense of your thinking skills for study or work, dealing with the tough stuff of life, or wanting to perform at the top of your game, we'd love to be part of your launch.

Dr Daniela De Fazio

Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist I am available on Thursdays in Essendon

I enjoy sharing knowledge with my clients about the psychology behind actions that enhance wellbeing and performance, giving meaning and purpose to everyday life. Through my work with the AFL Player’s Association, this also includes supporting athletes to get the most out of their off-field life to enhance their on-field performance. I work with adults using values and personal strengths and hope to provide a space for discovery, connection, and setting goals for better health and wellbeing. When I'm not on-the-go with my three boisterous boys, I enjoy great conversation over good food, keeping fit, and family holidays.

I am interested in the possibilities that come when brain science meets the practical art of thriving. I see people at all stages of the lifespan and aim to provide the time and space people need to create positive change in a busy world. My focus is on personal strengths and values-based action. I am also a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist at St Vincent's Hospital and a cofounder of shelfy.com.au. Outside of work, I am a mum and my favourite things about Melbourne are running around the city, jumping in autumn leaves and big cups of coffee.

I am currently also a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist at Epworth Hospital where I work with people with a wide range of medical conditions at often extremely challenging times in their lives. Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist I am not currently taking new clients

I enjoy working collaboratively with people across the lifespan who are facing new challenges – a medical diagnosis, a change in lifestyle, a loss or bereavement - to refocus on their values and develop skills to live alongside these challenges. I currently work in a public hospital primarily with patients and families who are affected by progressive neurological diseases (e.g., dementia). I am also actively involved in dementia research and use this to inform my clinical practice. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, travelling, and gardening.

I am passionate about enhancing psychological wellbeing in individuals and communities. I draw on the science of wellbeing to explore new ways of approaching challenging situations with flexibility and hope. This might be living with a chronic medical condition or moving through transitions, such as becoming a parent. I also work in the public health system as a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist, where I am involved in the diagnosis and care of people with brain conditions, and people with mental health concerns. Outside work I am a big fan of engrossing novels, savouring time with my family and friends, and appreciating the beauty that the arts and nature can bring to our busy lives.

Psychologist I am available Monday to Friday in Essendon

My passion as a psychologist comes from sharing the knowledge about learning new ways to engage with our thoughts and how this can impact on leading a more fulfilling life. In my 9 years of practice, I have worked with children, adolescents and adults. I have a keen interest in working with parents in the perinatal period, supporting you through conception, pregnancy and in the adjustment to life in your new role as parents. This interest grew out of my initial work with children in the out of home care sector, and recognising the importance of the parent-infant attachment relationship. I believe the mental health of parents is vital to the wellness of the family system which is why I am so passionate about supporting parents in this vulnerable life period. When I am not at work, I love spending time with my two children, getting outdoors, and seeking out new restaurants to try.
